Why we built Lotra
Dealer software needed a fresh start
Most dealer management systems were built for a different era. They are expensive, hard to set up, and designed around the needs of large groups rather than the independent forecourts that power most of the UK market.
We saw dealerships running their business across spreadsheets, paper files, and apps that refuse to talk to each other. Valuable time was lost on admin, customer context was scattered, and simple tasks like pricing a vehicle or following up a lead took far too long.
Lotra was built from a clean sheet to fix that. We re-examined what a dealership really needs — a single, connected view of inventory, customers, finance, listings, and reporting — and made it fast, intuitive, and priced fairly.
Our mission
Give every independent dealership modern, simple, AI-aware software
We believe independent dealers deserve the same quality of tools as the biggest groups — without the complexity, lock-in, or enterprise price tag. Lotra brings every part of a dealership together so dealers can spend less time fighting software and more time selling cars.
What we stand for
Values that shape the product
Dealer-first design
Every feature is shaped by how independent dealerships actually work, not by what works for enterprise groups.
Built from the ground up
Lotra is one clean, modern platform. No legacy code, no bolted-on modules, no workarounds from the 1990s.
Connected workflows
Inventory, customers, finance, listings, and reporting all share the same data, so nothing falls between the cracks.
Transparent and fair
Simple pricing, no hidden fees, and no long contracts. You know exactly what you're paying for and why.
Based in the UK
Lotra is designed, built, and supported for UK independent dealerships. We understand the market, the regulations, and the way your forecourt runs.
